Prison Journal: Day 7817

The morning was overcast with a bit of precipitation. Temperatures felt colder, perhaps in the 40s when I was running. It was windy, too. I began my morning in the quiet room early, at 4:00. That has become my normal time ever since last Thanksgiving. I really cherish that alone time. In the morning I finished writing the blog about Jeff’s struggle to marry, despite his constitutionally protected right to marry. These are the reasons we need prison reform. I ran 10 miles. That brings me 30 miles on the year. I have run 202 miles in 22 continuous days of running. I wrote a blog through which I asked to participate in Senator Jim Webb’s Prison Reform Panel. I wrote a lengthy letter to Mark Whitney. I typed my blogs and prepared an envelope to send home to Carole. In the evening I did some ghost writing for a friend, then I lay down to read. I’m still with Obamanomics and I’m enjoying it very much.
