Daily Menu at Atwater Prison Camp

Wednesday, 16 November  2011

Breakfast:
Today’s breakfast report indicates that breakfast entree was two pancakes and cold syrup.  Prisoners also received a scoop of bran flakes.  They could have milk and coffee, too.

Lunch:
For lunch we had the usual, and I was happy for the continuity.  In that regard, I’m like the character in Rain Man, awaiting hamburgers and fries on Wednesdays, chicken on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  We have had some disappointments with the chicken the past week, but today, on Wednesday, I received a hamburger and hot french fries that I devoured.

Dinner:
Dinner was not so appealing.  It was bologna sandwich on wheat bread.  We had rice and beans available, too.  But I passed on the entire meal because I was full from lunch and because I wanted to focus on the class I was teaching later in the evening.
