Daily Menu at Atwater Federal Prison Camp

Sunday, 20 November 2011

Breakfast:

I was pleased to finish my exercise in time to enjoy a breakfast meal in the chow hall before my visit.  I ate bran flake cereal with milk and three apple turnovers.  I mixed the apple turnovers in my cereal to sweeten it.  I received an apple, too, but I didn’t eat it.  Instead, I stored it in my locker.  I will eat during my exercise routine later this week.

Brunch:

I was fortunate to spend the day with my wife, Carole, in the visiting room.  While we were visiting, I heard that the men in Atwater camp received scrambled eggs, fried potato wedges, an apple, cereal, milk, and toasted bread.

Dinner:

The dinner entree this evening in Atwater was called chicken-pot pie.  I can’t remember ever having tasted chicken-pot pie before and I didn’t see any reason to eat it this evening.  Other prisoners told me that they liked it very much.  I scooped white rice and pinto beans from pans that were available on the hot bar.  That was a good dinner for me.
