Michael, you are amazing. I’m reading “Inside” right now, and I’m having trouble even comprehending the journey you are navigating. But everything in my heart knows you’ll make it; you already have, in my eyes. The legacy you are leaving – the people you give voices to – if not you serving as a vessel, how could we know?
God bless you, Michael. Peace and blessings to you and your family!
Obviously, this is one man who has already paid his debt to society and has earned the respect of a lot of people for what he has done for himself inside prison including getting his degrees. I can’t say much for a lot of people I encounter everyday who are wasting their freedom away. We are studying Mr. Santos’s case in our criminal justice class and I have to say that this man changed a lot of my preconceived notions of the criminal justice system.
With all that said, I know that he is eligible for release in 2013 but I am disheartened that he is still behind prison when the purpose of prison should be rehabilitation and Mr. Santos has earned that twice over. I hear on the news all the time how convicted criminals get clemency and pardons from politicians who have no business of giving those privileges away. Yet here is Mr. Santos who clearly deserves it.
This is so great! i love the site, what an amazing job.
