Menu at Atwater Federal Prison Camp
Tuesday, 3 November 2011

Breakfast:
I was exercising, but I was told that the meal was oatmeal and coffee cake.

Lunch:
I’ve learned to count on chicken meals at Atwater on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Today’s serving included a leg and thigh.  As always, I piled scoops of white rice and pinto beans on my plate as well.  It was a good meal, filling.

Dinner:
Tonight I enjoyed a scoop of what the cook called “cheese steak.”  I don’t know what kind of meat it was, but it was covered in melted cheese and grilled onions.  I mixed my portion with a scoop of white rice and beans.  The meal was tasty, better than some might expect for prison food.
